The best Mothers Day gift you could give is spending time with them. Moms also love to shop and what better place to shop than a Market that features local makers? Look no further than the Makers Markets at Arlene’s scheduled on Saturday, May 7th, from 11am to 4pm. It is the Day before Mothers Day and is the perfect thing to do with mom. Can’t shop with mom? No worries. You can find something perfect to gift her at the Market and give it to her. Plus bonus you can shop for yourself while you’re at it.

The Markets are bringing together the best of the best of handpicked vendors from NYS Capital Region and beyond. “There is nothing like a Makers Market day at Arlene’s” says Market Manager Andrew Ochal. “There is this dynamic

hustle and bustle of makers interacting with each other and community members. The energy is so positive and I’m so grateful to be a part of it. It's truly one of my favorite things to see the Makers doing their thing.”

The Makers Markets at Arlene’s are free to attend and will take place outside in Arlene’s parking lot. Featured Makers include Christina Briggs with Farm Mamma Soap, potter Rebecca Cigal, Chris Conlon with Skulls and Sawdust, Maria DeAngelo with ArtyLady MSD, artist Rebecca A Flis, Susan Fowler with Field & Flower Ceramics, Abby Kirkman with Abby Kirkman Quilts (AKQ), Kathy Klompas with Ragged Edge Studio, pottery by Ross Kunze, Katie Nare with Katie Nare Jewelry, Shoham Randall with DrawingsByShoham, Arlette Rodriguez with Pretty Flame Candles, Cheyenne Simmons with Great Exbaketations Bakery, Sara Yokubait-Vandervoort with Cedar's Studio.

Dolan's Dogs & More food truck will be here with something for everyone. Other events at the market include a hands-on Liquitex Demo with artist Dana Koeppel (per-registration is required) and the exhibit Takeyce Walter: Nature’s Beauty in our R Gallery at Arlene’s.

Make Mothers Day special and bring mom to the Makers Market at Arlene’s. If a year's worth of pandemic has taught us anything it's that we need to share the love and take time out to be with those whom we love. Mark your calendars now and see you there.
