Arlene’s Artist Materials is now accepting applications for our Fall series of Makers Market at Arlene’s. The Markets are scheduled to take place outside the store every Saturday starting September 25th through October 30th, from 11am to 4pm. The application is open to makers of all kinds that would like to not only showcase their handmade creations but also sell them.
The primary focus of the Makers Markets at Arlene’s is to promote the local creative community while developing a marketplace where people can purchase unique handmade items. We are looking for makers that offer well-designed quality handmade products. Makers that have a clear voice whether expressed through a traditional medium or something experimental. The Makers Markets at Arlene’s are a juried showcase. With the help of an advisory committee, Arlene's will select all Maker’s that participate in the market. There are a total 60 spaces available and no fee to apply.

What we are looking for?
We are looking for makers, including artists, artisans, and small businesses that offer well designed quality products. Makers that have a clear voice whether expressed through a traditional medium or something experimental.
How It Works:
Makers Market at Arlene’s is a juried showcase. With the help of an advisory committee Arlene’s will select all Maker’s for the market. The advisory committee studies all applications for Makers Market at Arlene’s and reserves the right to approve or not approve applications. The committee also reserves the right to refuse some of the proposed Makers and, if these Makers are exhibited during the market, to remove the non-valid merchandise.
Makers Booth Space Sizes and Regulations:
The Makers Markets at Arlene's will be held outside in the store’s parking lot. Makers booth spaces are a maximum of 10 feet by 10 feet and cannot exceed their allotted both spaces. We have ten spaces and need to make room for everyone.
NOTE: Because the Makers Markets at Arlene's is going to be located outside, Makers need to take the necessary precautions. Booth Spaces will not include tables, chairs or tents. Exhibitors are responsible for bringing their own tables, chairs, area covering (i.e. tents) that must be secured in windy conditions, lighting, promo materials, and display apparatus.

Exhibitors cannot increase the size of their space artificially. You can create wall space with the use of easels, bins, or other props but cannot exceed the designated size of the booth. Scheduling Makers, booth/table placements and Market design are at the sole discretion of Arlene's Artist Materials and Arlene's reserves the right to make changes in booth assignments and/or Market configuration at any time.
There is NO FEE to apply for the Makers Market at Arlene's. Applicants that are selected to participate by our advisory committee will be charged $25 for the booth space for each date. There are six dates available with a total booth fee for all dates totaling $150. Booth space fees are not refundable and due upon invoice. If the fee is not paid by the deadline set by Arlene's than Arlene's reserves the right to give the space to another applicant.
