The organic and narrative qualities of my imagery are influenced by the writings of Joseph Campbell; his work has long fostered my respect for storytelling. At the convergence of my inner world with its outer expression through art, I make a mythological universe of my own. Spiraling, winding cycles of time as expressed in pattern and repetition, continue to fascinate me. By interweaving character, archetype, symbol, and color, the images convey a sense of magic and play. Regardless of the media, the pieces reflect my deep respect for the earth and its mysteries. Moving fluently between a variety of materials: acrylic, pastel, collage, and encaustic, gives me joy.
