Patrice Malatestinic’s works on paper come out of continued experimentation with vivid color, shapes and mark-making in multi-media. They began as paint-based (acrylic or watercolor) pieces, which were then layered with collage, ink, and pastel marks, or digitally altered. Patrice spends a fair amount of time drawing and especially enjoys working in color, collage, and mosaic. Most of her work is light hearted and humorous with titles that suggest personal, spontaneously observed, narratives to otherwise nonrepresentational work.
