In conjunction with the Atelier at Arlene’s, the R Gallery at Arlene’s is accepting applications for our second annual Juried Student Work Show. This exhibit will feature artwork done by artists who attended a class or workshop with our Atelier at Arlene’s program. The exhibit will run Friday, February 3, 2023, through Saturday, February 25, 2023, with an opening reception on February 3, 2023, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. We are thrilled to join forces with the Atelier at Arlene's and showcase the talent of our students. All the artwork will be selected with the help of an advisory committee featuring instructors of the Atelier at Arlene’s.
This exhibition is devoted to artwork done by students of the Atelier at Arlene's. To ensure there is room for everybody, each a maximum of 11” X14” before being framed. Showcasing student work is important. Not only to showcase the artist's talent but to give them the experience and confidence to grow as fully realized artists. Arlene’s is committed to developing creativity and supporting our local art community. We are tirelessly working on building an engaged audience of individuals who are serious about discovering locally-made art. To further celebrate, prizes will be given to Best In Show and two Honorable Mentions.

We are open to all media but artwork cannot exceed 11” X 14” framed. Artwork outside these parameters will not be considered and the R Gallery at Arlene’s reserves the right to reject artwork that does not fit into this guideline after the fact.
Each piece needs to be ready to hang or display. To show the artwork in the best way possible, we highly recommend that two-dimensional be framed. However, if the work is done on a cradled panel or gallery wrap canvas and properly wired, we are prepared to exhibit as is. We are willing to talk with artists about their unique ways of displaying their work and come up with an agreement on how to exhibit the work. However, if the work is done in a traditional format we would highly insist it be framed.
All artwork must be original and done by the applicant. Open to all mediums.
Artists must submit an artist statement and bio.
Up to 5 pieces of the work intended to be exhibited may be submitted. Image file size must be at least 300 dpi and labeled in the following format: FristLastName_Title.jpg or FristLastName_Title.png.
