Whether you are using water-based or alcohol-based markers, you’ll want to use the best paper in order to keep your tips in the best shape possible!
Water-based Markers: We recommend smooth-surface art papers. For example, marker paper, tracing paper, and smooth mixed media paper work well. The water-based ink won’t bleed through most papers.
Alcohol-based Markers: We recommend smooth-surface paper with a medium absorbency. For example, bristol paper, marker paper, smooth mixed media paper, and illustration paper work well. Alcohol-based ink tends to bleed through thinner papers, so be sure to use a blotter to protect your work surface if you choose a thinner paper.
