Makers Markets at Arlene's are back this Spring


The Makers Markets at Arlene’s, produced by Arlene’s Artist Material, are back this Spring and better than ever. The Markets are bringing together the best of the best of handpicked vendors from NYS Capital Region and beyond. “There is nothing like a Makers Market day at Arlene’s” says Market Manager Andrew Ochal. “There is this dynamic hustle and bustle of makers interacting with each other and community members. The energy is so positive and I’m so grateful to be a part of it. It's truly one of my favorite things to see the Makers bonding with people and doing their thing.” Something new this year is the Spring series of Makers Markets at Arlene’s will on two dates. The Markets are scheduled to take place at the store on Saturday, April 25th and May 9th from 11am to 4 pm. We have another great selection of local makers, some new and regular faces, showcasing a wide selection of expertly crafted handmade wares.


Featured makers on Saturday, April 25th include illustrator and comic artist Christian St. Pierre, book artist Laura Sterling, cast metal artist Rebecca A. Flis, Leah LaFera with Sweet Sprig Soaps, Cheyenne Simmons with Great Exbaketations Bakery, handmade jewelry by Leslie Zuker and mosaic work by Christine Shea.


Makers featured on Saturday, May 9th, are painter and jewelry artist Ali Herrmann, fine jeweler Lisa Frazer with ZoePea jewelry, artists Sarah Best, MaryK Weeks, Jean Krueger, jewelry by Joy Iris-Wilbanks, and illustrator and tattoo designer Nate Tys.


The Makers Markets at Arlene’s are free and open to the public. Not to mention family friendly and a great place to get mom that perfect Mother’s Day gift. There will be something for everyone.
