Masterwork: Celebrating the instructors of the Atelier at Arlene’s program.

Arlene's Artist Materials is thrilled to open the exhibition Masterwork that celebrates the instructors of our Atelier at Arlene’s program running March 6th to the 28th. “Since we started offering classes and workshops at Arlene's, we were fortunate to work with such a talented group of local artists and art educators,” says Andrew Ochal, director of the Atelier at Arlene's. “We are thrilled to showcase their work and highlight the wide scope of art mediums and applications they use, like painting, mixed media, drawing, cast metal sculptures, printmaking on fiber and more.” Featured artists include Takeyce Walter, Corey Pitkin, Kristin Woodward, Kevin Kune, Carol Coogan, Robin Rosenthal, Kathy Klompas, Rebecca Flis, Carolyn Difiori Hopkins, and Erin Quillinan. See their masterpieces in person and get inspired to create your own. The Artist Reception is on Friday, March 6th, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. It is free and open to the public. Food and beverages will be provided.

The Atelier at Arlene's is dedicated to fostering the creativity of our community since 2015. We pride ourselves in bringing the highest level of art education to every student while providing a comfortable safe place for students to grow. Classes and workshops are kept small ensuring everyone receives personalized instruction while still taking advantage of working in a group. Topics range over a wide variety of creative pursuits and are geared to all experience levels.

The R Gallery at Arlene’s exhibits emerging and established artists, working in any media, exhibiting contemporary artworks with an emphasis on technical execution. The aim is to showcase thought-provoking and impactful work while highlighting craftsmanship and technique. Our goal is to further enrich the community that we've been apart of since 1960. The gallery is located on the main level of Arlene’s Artist Materials, in the nook right behind the front counter.
