A biannual, handmade marketplace event inside Arlene's Artist Materials.
The Makers Market at Arlene's is solely organized by Arlene's Artist Materials. They evolved out of a need for support our local creative community. The Markets happen twice a year, first in the Springtime, around Mothers Day, and again during the Holidays. We are proud to feature regional makers, creatives and small business offering handmade jewelry, pottery, stationery, quilts, boozy cakes, clothing accessories , soaps and much, much more.
The Makers Market at Arlene's was conceived in the Fall of 2017 and is organized by Andrew Ochal, an employee of Arlene's Artist Materials and director of the Atelier at Arlene's program. Andrew is also the Art Director of the R Gallery at Arlene's and manages the Art Fair at Arlene's.
It is our mission to fill our markets with Makers who produce well designed, high quality hand crafted products. We aim to provide a profitable opportunity for serious working creatives, designers and craftspeople with a clear voice who, in their own way, defining what it means to be a contemporary maker. Our vendors represent a range of media, from traditional craft to the more experimental.
Our mission is to promote the local creative community while developing a marketplace where people can purchase uniquely crafted hand made items.
